ILYC's sailors enjoyed another beautiful Sunday afternoon with a good breezes. We have been very fortunate this summer, with only one weekend's racing cancelled due to poor wind, and no drifters! Winds straight out of the South/Southwest enabled us to stretch out and sail most of the length of the lake. The wind was shifty, challenging skippers to change course frequently to take advantage. We saw a competitive first race, with Bob Heathcote and BJ Hague jockeying for 1st/2nd most of the race, only to see John Smith ride one of those wind shifts to the victory. The second race was never in doubt from just past the start , BJ Hague left the rest of us in the dust andnever looked back.
